Nursing Leadership and Management (1.5 units)

The intent of this course is to enhance participants' understanding of the meaning of leadership and the tasks of management. Worldviews that influence perceptions of health care and health organizations and current approaches to managing health care will be studied. Nursing leadership in establishing a climate in which quality of care and quality of work environments can become a reality are emphasized in this course.
